Confederate Soldier's Square
Soldier's Square is located on
the hill overlooking the Ocmulgee River and the railroad tracks in between. More
than 600 confederate soldiers are buried on this site. There are also 282
additional soldiers who are buried in unmarked graves. The names and other
information on each of these soldiers are on file at the office located next to
the main gate. These files are also available at in the genealogy room of
the Washington Memorial Library. Please also note that these records
will be made available in the online database coming soon.
