Sandstone Steps/Ocmulgee River Entrance
The sandstone steps located in between the Johnson and Bond family monuments
serve as the entrance to Rose Hill from the Ocmulgee River side of the
cemetery. The entrance and steps were built jointly by the two families.
It is thought that the steps were constructed by the same builders who
constructed the famous Hay House due to the similar style of the steps on the
mansion and in the cemetery.
