Historic Resources

1. Preservation, Conservation, and/or Restoration

  • Preservation and Conservation most directly relate to physical structures and monuments, especially as they currently exist.

  • Restoration relates to repairing broken, destroyed and/or missing monuments, walls, fences, etc.

  • Restoration also relates to landscape. This item is listed separately as it has been largely neglected over the years and a decision needs to be made regarding the level of restoration to its "original" Victorian condition which is both desired and practical (from both a construction and maintenance cost perspective).

2. Visitor Experience
  • Determine the type of experience that you want the average visitor to Rose Hill to receive.

  • At all exits, provide "Thank you for Visiting" signs and suggest opportunities for supporting the continued maintenance and restoration of Rose Hill.
