Oak Ridge Cemetery
Oak
Ridge Cemetery was laid out at about the same time that Rose Hill Cemetery
was. This cemetery served as the final resting place of countless numbers
of slaves who were buried on the plots that their owners bought for them.
Unfortunately, most of these graves were (and still are) unmarked. Plans
are currently under way to determine the location of these graves.
