Lt. Bobby

Lt. Bobby

Proof that not everyone in Rose Hill is a person.  Lt. Bobby was a brown terrier who served as the official mascot of the 121st infantry in the Georgia National Guard.  He was commissioned by President Calvin Coolidge as a lieutenant for his faithful attendance in training classes at Fort Benning, and was buried with military honors on February 1, 1936 at the age of 12. (84 in dog years!)
