Rose Hill Ramble
Sunday, October 30 • 2pm to 4pm • Rose Hill Cemetery
Take a tour around Rose Hill with Phil Comer and learn about some of Macon's most influential, eccentric, and notorious women. You'll hear about the unwed Burke sisters who built the house at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Orange Street. See the angels memorializing the lives of young women who succumbed to the dangers of childbirth, and discover the history of a young woman who escaped from slavery.
Rambles are guided tours of the cemetery require participants to be able to walk on uneven and unpaved pathways in the cemetery.
Admission is $5. Friends of Rose Hill attend for free.
