James H. Blount Family
(Blount Angel)
The angel and cross were placed in memory of the James H. Blount family. Mr. Blount served as a Lt. Col. in the Confederate army and as a U.S. Congressman from 1873 to 1893. His daughter, Eugenia Dorothy Blount Lamar was the National President/General of the United Daughters of the Confederacy from 1937 to 1939. A Children of the Confederacy chapter in Macon is named after her.
